Pearl Pendant - Coming Soon

I was given a few fresh water pearls, they are all in different sizes and different colours, so I cant use them for earrings.  Then I came up with this design last week, it looks like a baby eggplant, or some sort of fruits.  The outcome is better than the design I drew :D

It will be in my store very soon~ (Dont know whats wrong with my camera or lens, all the photos I took yesterday were all blurred >,<)

South Bank

I visit South Bank every time I go to London, and last time I took bus route RV1, from covent garden.  The bus is really convenient, it will take you to Waterloo station, London Eye, Tate Modern, OXO tower, London Bridge as well as Tower Bridge.

Tower Bridge is one of my favourite spot in London, I love to take friends to walk across bridge, the atmosphere is even better in the evening, when the lights is on~ but the area is pretty quiet at night...

I would recommend you to take the bus from Covent Garden to the Tower Bridge, then walk from Tower Bridge to Tate Modern, takes around 20 minutes, and after visiting Tate Modern, you can walk across Millennium Bridge to St Paul Cathedral! A easy way to explore South Bank~!

Sushi Bar in London

I would like to introduce a great great place for sushi in London! Although, the sushi bar in Harrods is pretty good, but this place is nothing like that! Sushi of Shiori at Drummond street, a small sushi bar, only has 8 seats, serving good quality sushi!

We went with a friend in the summer, she ordered omakase set, 5 dishes, including starter, soup, sashimi, sushi and dessert.  Look at this sashimi, its like an art work!

This plate of sushi really filling! I was so full after having half plate of this! Taste:  5 stars!
They serve great homemade ice-cream, sherbet.. I had plum wine sherbet, NICE! Btw, I shall mention the green tea too, it goes brilliantly well with the food~!  Wishing to go back and spoil myself some time! :P

Experiment Project I

First I made a ring, attached 2 sterling silver rings together, and formed a gap between them.

Looks like this..

It was bold, shiny and smooth...

Then I chose some tools to give some details to this ring.

Very simple tools, a hammer, a plastic hammer and some steel rods..

I hammered it with steel rod, to give some irregular marks.

Then I used the plastic hammer to smoothen the edges.

Lastly, oxidized it for a short moment, and leave it like that, no polish and no filing..

There it is, one of a kind ring! looks good, and v comfortable to wear~

Now in store!

Hi All

This is my first blog, I would like to tell you a little bit of me...

I love to travel, my favourite cities are london, tokyo, beijing, barcelona, and many more, the picture below is Visby, I took a long summer vacation this year, went to sweden, norway and denmark.  Had a lovely summer, and decided I should work harder after summer.

So I started to work on my jewellery designs, and finally I uploaded a few pieces to my little store Qworks.  Actually I made a lot of accessories in the past few years, I gave most of them to my friends, so now I am working on new designs.

I started to learn silver smithing's techniques a few years ago, I kept going to the workshop, my instructor is a very skillful craftman, whenever I found problems, I would go for his help~!

Besides silversmithing, I also like pottery and painting, recently I started oil painting, it is fun! Maybe I can show some of my works too ; )
